Fire Door Engineer/Surveyor

Description

We are currently seeking a friendly and experienced Fire Door Engineer/Surveyor to join our team. As a Fire Door Engineer/ Surveyor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and compliance of fire doors in various domestic buildings.

In this role, you will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections and assessments of fire doors, identifying any issues or areas of improvement, and providing detailed reports on your findings.

We are looking for someone who is knowledgeable in fire door construction, maintenance, and repair. You must have a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of fire safety codes. You must also be able to work efficiently independently and as part of a team. 

• Based in Crawley, West Sussex

• Monday to Friday 0830-1700 with an hour paid lunch break.

• Smart/casual dress code

• 20 flexible holiday days, and all bank holidays and Christmas period off.

• Salary negotiable and paid weekly

• Nest Pension Scheme


Responsibilities

Conduct inspections of fire doors in various domestic buildings

Assess the condition and functionality of fire doors

Identify any issues or areas of improvement

Provide detailed reports on inspections and assessments

Collaborate with clients and facility managers to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations

Advise clients on the proper maintenance and repair of fire doors

Stay up-to-date on industry standards and best practices


Requirements

Previous experience as a Fire Door Engineer or Surveyor

In-depth knowledge of fire door construction, maintenance, and repair

Strong understanding of fire safety codes and regulations

Excellent attention to detail

Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Full UK License


Qualification requirements:

FDIS (Fire Door Inspection Scheme) diploma or equivalent
